We welcome submissions from Australian artists/designers/craftspeople with quality products available for sale. If your products meet our criteria, we would be happy to include your web site in our art + design directory.
At the moment, we have a separate page for 'online marketplaces' where we list Etsy, madeit, Mintd, Dawanda stores etc. We are happy to include one 'online marketplace' on this page, so please choose just your primary 'online marketplace' for submission.
Selected labels/exhibitions etc will also be considered for inclusion in our blog. Please note that we receive many emails each day from lots of lovely people. Please be patient while waiting for a response - I do try to reply to everyone but I am unable to keep up with the volume of emails we receive at the moment.
PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR SUBMISSION:
Your name and location
Your site URL if applicable
Your blog URL if applicable
ONE 'online marketplace' if applicable
A BRIEF (10-15 word) description of your site (which will appear on rollover)
Plus any extra information you'd like to include! If sending images, please keep attachments SMALL! (Maximum of 3mb, but usually much smaller.) Please feel free to include multiple 'online marketplaces' if they feature different images & products that you'd like us to see, but indicate which is your 'primary' store.
Our 'indie links' page is for personal Australian blogs with art/design/craft content and for a limited number of international design blogs - great starting points if you want to look further than our shores.
If you would like to submit your blog, PLEASE INCLUDE IN YOUR SUBMISSION:
Your name and location
Your blog URL
A BRIEF description of your blog (which will appear on rollover)
Our online store stocks a selection of gorgeous products made by Australian artists, designers & craftspeople. The store operates in a similar way to a bricks and mortar retail boutique (as opposed to an online marketplace such as Etsy) and we welcome submissions from Australian labels.
We're looking for high quality, original products by designers/makers who are beginning or establishing a career with their label, or expanding an established independent brand. If you would like more information, please email us with an introduction to your label, including your location, recommended retail prices & GST status (whether or not you are registered for GST), along with a selection of product images (or catalogue) and/or a link to your web site. (Please keep email attachment totals under 3mb.) We will send you further details about having your label stocked at indie art & design and let you know if we feel your designs are a good fit for our store!
Please note that our vision for the development & expansion of the indie art & design store (both in terms of style and product type/balance) means that we are not able to accept all labels. If we are unable to stock your products, it doesn't mean we don't love your designs! Whether or not your application is successful, we will keep all label details on file for consideration for future blog posts.
Interested in joining the indie art & design team as a regular contributor? If you would like to see your work published on indie art & design, please see our Get Involved page for information on contributor opportunities.
Indie art & design is the digital baby of graphic design duo Carolyn & Martin (who are now also mum & dad to adorable Liam and Camille). Since 2006, we have showcased the work of Australian independent artists & designers on our blog, and we stock a large variety of beautiful and unique products in our online store.
We take a great deal of care with your orders, and have many return customers who love our range and service. We specialise in art and illustration (now including the work of the talented Amy Borrell and Dan Adams), and unique handmade pieces such as porcelain jewellery and objects by Irene Grishin Selzer of Iggy and Lou Lou... We have aso recently expanded our range of clever and thoughtful kids' products - from the ever-popular B&W Baby Mobile to exquisite clothing by Knuffle Kid, and delightful soft books and toys from Growing World.
