Attention: indie art & design is taking a short break until mid-June 2024. During this time orders will not be taken but we look forward to seeing all of our valued and future customers very soon!

When we discovered the Knuffle Kid label, we knew instantly that Emma Strybosch's designs would be perfect for indie art and design! Her childrens clothing is creative, beautifully constructed and really gorgeous.
Knuffle loosely translated from dutch is “to cuddle” – Kid is a baby goat or small child. Knuffle Kid is all about the joy of being a child – it's about the time in your life when memories first form – it's about having a favourite dress that gets passed down to your little sister or eventually to your own child.
Emma Strybosch has always loved designing and sewing, and after the birth of her daughter Ava, began making little girl's outfits. By the time her second daughter, Ruby, arrived, Emma had started selling her designs at markets and Knuffle Kid attended its first trade shows. The label has since grown into a full clothing range for both boys and girls.
A strong emphasis is kept on the need to produce within Australia and Emma is constantly searching for Australian made and vintage fabrics. She also designs a signature fabric for each range with the help of Melbourne-based specialist screen printers Ink and Spindle.
They say the joy of travel is the adventure of getting there. The "Passport Agogo" range lends from the 60s when flying in planes was a luxury and the air hostess was the height of elegance and fashion.
A reversible "Hostess" dress, denim pilot pants and the "Airline" Skirt (cleverly designed to fit many different sizes) are some of our favourites. The signature fabric print is an organic topography design that could be the view from a plane or the country side out of a car window.
